In particular, I make sure to go for a run every weekend on my day off.

After a long time, I went for a 10km run. It helped clear my mind. The temperature is gradually becoming more suitable for running, isn’t it?

When I talk about my love for running, I often get asked, “Why do you run?”

Running is often perceived as simply tiring, isn’t it?

The reason I run is simply because there are numerous benefits to it.

In fact, I’m inclined to ask in return, “Why don’t you run?”

Gradually, you will find yourself setting higher goals such as “I might be able to take on a half marathon,” “I might attempt a full marathon this year,” “I’m aiming for a sub-4-hour finish,” or even “I’m aiming for a sub-3-hour finish.”

Running not only stimulates the motivation to challenge yourself but also has positive impacts on your daily life, such as work and personal goals.

With running events taking place nationwide, I encourage you to take the opportunity to participate and challenge yourself.

The Benefits of Running④ Cost-Effective

The fourth benefit of running is its affordability.

Running not only brings positive effects to your physical and mental well-being but also requires relatively low costs.

The essentials for running are suitable clothing and shoes.

You don’t necessarily need specialized running apparel. Comfortable and breathable sportswear, T-shirts, and shorts are sufficient.

The most significant investment will be in running shoes, but even with a budget of around 10,000 yen, you can purchase highly functional shoes.

Furthermore, running can be done anywhere, so there is no need to pay for the use of running tracks or courses.

Taking all factors into account, running can be considered a sport with excellent cost performance.

By the way, the series of shoes I am currently using is the Adizero Boston.

It was with this series that I completed my first full marathon. They are designed to suit Japanese runners, and they are lightweight with excellent cushioning.

These shoes are extremely comfortable to run in, significantly reducing foot pain and eliminating knee discomfort.

Keep in mind that different shoe manufacturers have variations in sizing and width, so it’s important to try them on and ensure the right fit before making a purchase.
